Have I ever used a CALL thing?

Hey, I have not used any CALL stuff. What'chu all think about that, huh? My reaction to this weeks reading: highly anticipated! My question to my entranced readers: How involved do you think we will all get at using this technological stuff? Will we become "slaves to the machine", or will it become a nice supplemental tool henceforth? Let me know, peeps!

  1. Again, I'm responding a second time as my first post didn't take, which is why this CALL thing is so hard for me to accept as the way of the world because frankly I find it time consumeing and a waste of time. However, here I am as I know this is the way of future and don't want to be left behind.

I too fear becoming "slaves to the machine" but I think in order to avoid this, we will just have to learn to maintain a balance among all the tools that we have for education.

  2. I think if we use CALL appropriately we could probably avoid becoming 'slaves to the machine". It is important to keep in mind that CALL is only a tool for teaching and it should not completely substitute other forms of teaching. My question would be to what extent should we use CALL in the classroom and for which purproses?
